I have 20 years’ experience working as a Marketing Manager, Senior Recruitment Consultant and Business Owner. At MTAS Psychology, I lead on the recruitment and onboarding of new clinicians and therapists. I provide a ‘hands on’ account management service for our high value instructing parties within our Medico-Legal department. I am Operations Manager and Treatment Coordinator for our treatment department, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for our patients and corporate partners.

I am a registered Clinical Psychologist (HCPC No PYL27804), having obtained a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Sheffield. I have worked in the field of mental health for over 18 years, across various clinical areas. I received a First Class Degree, as well as being awarded the Harry Kay Psychology Prize for my research dissertation.


I currently work as a Child & Adolescent Clinical Psychologist in the NHS, where I am responsible for assessing, intervening and Case Managing children and families with significant emotional, behavioural and psychiatric difficulties.


My work as an Expert Witness at MTAS Psychology involved the provision of assessments and reporting within their Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence and Occupational Stress departments. Last year I accepted over 200 instructions for medico-legal reports, mainly in the Personal Injury department.

I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist (HCPC No PYL05301) with 25 years’ experience in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and their families in the NHS both in multi-professional teams and individually.


Prior to my move into full-time independent practice, I was most recently employed as Head of Child & Adolescent Clinical Psychology at Bristol Children’s Hospital, which provided a service both to child and adolescent mental health, learning disability, forensics, substance misuse and paediatrics.


I have over 25 years’ experience as an expert witness in public and private family law and criminal law cases. I have accepted over 1000 instructions as a single joint expert and have given evidence in court on many occasions.

I am a Principal Clinical Psychologist (HCPC No PYL27375) still working in the NHS with adults with complex physical and emotional needs. I am a published academic research author and Expert Witness for MTAS Psychology’s medico-legal assessment service, accepting instructions at a rate of approximately 160 reports a year. I have provided evidence under cross examination and at legal conferences.

I am a Principal Clinical Psychologist (HCPC No. PYL35169) with 15 years’ experience working across a range of mental health settings, supporting children, adults and families, particularly where there have been complex histories of trauma and attachment difficulties. I tend to draw upon relational models of emotional distress, including Cognitive Analytic Therapy, and Systemic or attachment-focussed approaches.
My work within a medico-legal setting requires assessments and reports for Care Proceedings, Civil Law and Criminal Law cases. I have attended numerous legal conferences to provide verbal evidence.

I am a Principal Clinical Psychologist (HCPC No PYL34030) with over 15 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents and adults with mental health and behavioural difficulties in secure and community settings. I have experience of facilitating assessments and interventions with children and adults who present with difficulties associated with Self-harm and suicidal ideation, low mood, anxiety and anxiety associated disorders, attachment and developmental trauma, traumatic experiences, cognitive difficulties, violent or challenging behaviour and harmful sexual behaviour.


I have experience of completing specialist risk assessments of violent and harmful sexual behaviour in children and adolescents in order to inform recommendations for risk assessment / management and further assessment and intervention. I have specialist experience of facilitating therapeutic inventions for harmful sexual behaviours with children who have or have not been convicted of such offences.


My work at MTAS Psychology involves the provision of comprehensive assessments and reports for children and adults who have suffered abuse and/or trauma during their childhood or adult life.
